Norma G. Sankey, 90, of Osceola Mills died Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 at the Windy Hill Village, PSL in Philipsburg.
Born July 25, 1927 in Butler County, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Lucille (Boozer) Hovis.
She married Robert M. Sankey on July 26, 1947 in Osceola Mills. He preceded her in death May 20, 2011.
She was a member of the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 5020 Ladies Auxiliary in Osceola Mills and the Osceola Mills Civic Club. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Keller and a brother, Wayne Hovis.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Latosky and her husband, Thomas of Houtzdale and Kristen Meersand and her life partner, Allen Cook of Osceola Mills; two sons, Jack Sankey and his wife, Jan of Bald Eagle and Robert “Bo” Sankey and his wife, Patricia of Philipsburg; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills with Pastor Beth Stutler officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
