Mary M. Rowles, 83, of Clearfield died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Ms. Rowles was born April 21, 1934 in Woodland, the daughter of Chance and Mable (Brown) Rowles.
She had worked for Kent Sportswear as a seamstress. Ms. Rowles was Methodist by faith.
She was a big supporter of the St. Jude Children’s Hospital and had a passion for photography.
She is survived by a daughter, Sherry A. Evans of Hyde; two grandchildren, Angi Sloppy and her husband, Steve of Clearfield and Jeremiah Evans of Reynoldsville; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Lyla Sloppy; a sister, Nancy Maines of West Decatur; and many nieces and nephews.
Ms. Rowles was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mildred Lansberry and Lorraine Peters; and seven brothers, Claire, Robert, Frederick, Paul, Ellwood, Wayne and Gerald Rowles.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with Pastor W. Lee Casher officiating. Burial will be at Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. Sunday until the hour of services at the funeral home.
