State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of identity theft that occurred Sept. 1 on Deer Creek Road in Morris Township. During the incident, someone allegedly opened a Kohl’s credit card and used the victim’s information.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of identity theft that occurred Dec. 9, 2016 on West Main Street in Mahaffey. During the incident, someone allegedly took the victim’s identity and made fraudulent charges using his bank information. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Punxsutawney at 814-938-0510.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about unattended children at the Edgewood Apartments. Upon arrival to the scene, police found a male who was allegedly sleeping when he should have been supervising the children. He was wanted through the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office and by police in Centre County. He was subsequently lodged in Clearfield County Jail, and police were assisted by sheriff’s deputies.
- Police received a report about an inmate having mental health issues at the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police received a call about a landlord/tenant issue.
- Police received a report about a verbal disturbance at the Lawrence Park Village.
- Police located a suspicious vehicle on Fire Tower Road. Upon making contact with three males, police determined there was a drug violation. Two males were subsequently lodged in the Clearfield County Jail for warrants and a probation violation; charges will be filed against all three males in the incident.
- Police received a report about an activated alarm at a local business on Industrial Park Road.
