HUNTINGDON — The Clearfield Junior Varsity football team put their undefeated record on the line Monday night in Huntingdon against the host Bearcats.
What Clearfield needed was a 13-point rally in the final quarter to avoid their first loss.
Bison quarterback Barrett Kline hit Caleb Freeland for a 25-yard scoring strike and Brett Zattoni, who accumulated 143 yards of total offense and had an interception, scored from the one yard line, followed by Zach Hess adding an extra point after the Zattoni TD to knot the score.
Freeland then blocked a potential game-winning field goal with four seconds remaining to keep the Bison out of the “L” column.
Clearfield (3-0-1) will host Central Mountain next Monday night at the Bison Sports Complex.
