Eva J. Hertlein, 83, of Frenchville went home to be with her Lord Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017 at Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Ms. Hertlein was born March 24, 1934 in Karthaus, the daughter of Frank T. Hertlein Sr. and Ivy (Lucas) Hertlein. She was a graduate of the Cooper Township High School.
Ms. Hertlein had been secretary at her father’s coal company and at Curtiss-Wright Corp. She had also been manager of Quick Check in Karthaus.
She was a member of the Community Alliance Church, Karthaus. She was also affiliated with the Curwensville Christian Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Conaway and her husband, Randy and a granddaughter, Heidi Conaway, all of Frenchville.
She is also survived by six siblings, Edith M. Hertlein, Patsy L. Kimble, Frank T. Hertlein Jr. and his wife, Margaret, Glenn R. Hertlein and his wife, Deborah, Timothy L. Hertlein and his wife, Christine and G. Lee Hertlein and his wife, Beverly and a brother-in-law, John D. Kirkwood.
Ms. Hertlein was preceded in death by her parents; twin infant siblings; a sister, Louise E. Kirkwood; a niece, Abigail Hertlein-Green; and a brother-in-law, Benjamin Kimble Sr.
Honoring Ms. Hertlein’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. Burial will be at Oak Hill Memorial Cemetery, Karthaus.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Community Alliance Church, Karthaus, or the Curwensville Christian Church.
