F. William Shimko, 79, of Clearfield died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 at the Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
He was born June 30, 1938 in Ashland, a son of the late Francis Mark and Mary Louise (Sofranek) Shimko.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Rae (Bremigen) Shimko. He is survived by his son, William F. Shimko, Esq. and his spouse, Katherine Bridget (Toher) of Pittsburgh and three children and his son, the Rev. David J. Shimko of Clearfield.
He is also survived by his brother, John Richard Shimko and his spouse, Jane Shimko of Elysburg; father-in-law and mother-in-law, the Rev. Jack J. Bremigen and the Rev. Lois (Levin) Bremigen of Clearfield; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruth E. (Bremigen) Hill and the Rev. Larry C. Hill of Springfield, Mo.; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joyce A. (Bremigen) Wisor and Kevin S. Wisor Sr. of Clearfield.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Clearfield. Friends will be received from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
