Allen Hazlett attended the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center (CCCTC) in 2013-14 in the information technology (IT) program.
During his nine months at the CCCTC, he says he learned to be IT-minded, which helped him learn faster while attending South Hills Business School.
He says that he chose to come to the CCCTC because he knew he needed a foundation in IT and he also knew he would get that at the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center.
One thing Hazlett mentioned was that even if you are not sure what you want to do after high school, attending a technology school will give you a strong foundation for a career or school when you graduate.
Hazlett is currently a student at South Hills School of Business and Technology. He is working full-time at Professional Staffing Solutions in Altoona as a software developer that works with newer technologies like React JS and ASP.NET.
Hazlet is only one example of how CCCTC graduates use their education to strengthen the industry in their field of study.
