BOGGS TOWNSHIP – One person was seriously injured after a three-vehicle crash Friday evening in Boggs Township.
State police at Clearfield say the crash occurred at 4:46 p.m. on the Philipsburg-Bigler Highway and involved a box truck, car and dirt bike.
According to the report, the truck was traveling westbound. At the same time, the car was stopped in order to make a left-hand turn onto Arc Road.
However, the truck’s driver failed to observe that the car had stopped and crashed into its rear portion.
After impact, the truck traveled into the opposing lane, where the dirt bike’s driver tried to avoid a crash by laying it on the ground.
The dirt bike slid into the guiderail next to the eastbound lane of the Philipsburg-Bigler Highway.
State police say the drivers of the truck and car sustained moderate injuries. Both were taken to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital.
The dirt bike’s driver was seriously injured and flown to the Altoona Hospital for medical treatment.
