Marie Hamilton Stoner, 85, of Ginter died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
Born Dec. 26, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Walter W. and Sarah J. (Ream) Lovell.
She was a graduate of the Madera High School. She was a retired business owner.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Lion’s Club, where she was a past officer, and a member and past officer of the Mountz Memorial Park Board.
Her door and heart were always open to her family, friends and animals of any kind.
As an avid animal lover, she lovingly raised her horses, dogs and cats; she tended to any injured animal in need. She also took pride in her wild birds and flower gardens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Francis Hamilton and Ren Stoner.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Ron Hamilton of Philipsburg and Cindy Flango of Ginter and three step-children, Steve Stoner of Tyrone, Cindy Bennett-Hedberg of Sinking Valley and Joy Ealy of Greenville.
She will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Craig and Kristi Flango, Russell Hamilton, Melissa Frank, Barbara Johns and Jeremiah, Benjamin, Rebecca and Brittany Hamilton; step-grandchildren Tobi Munshower, Eric Bennett, Thomas Hedberg Jr., and Michael Stoner; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to your local animal shelter.
