State police at DuBois
- State police reported an incident of underage drinking Saturday at the DuBois High School parking lot. During a traffic stop, a trooper made contact with two males who were passengers in a vehicle. They had allegedly consumed alcohol, and charges were filed through the district court.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police reported an incident of DUI that occurred Friday on Sawmill Road off North High Street in Worth Township. A traffic stop was made on a vehicle operated by a 27-year-old Port Matilda woman after she committed several traffic violations. Upon further investigation, she was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol. She was taken into custody and to the Mount Nittany Medical Center for blood testing. Charges are currently pending at this time.
State police at Ridgway
- State police conducted a DUI roving detail on Saturday in Elk County. During the detail, troopers checked approximately 23 vehicles. It resulted in one driver being arrested for DUI; one passenger being cited for underage drinking; six citations being issued; and 26 vehicle code warnings being issued.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a deer that was struck on Goshen Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief at Lawrence Park Village.
- Police received a report about an abandoned vehicle at Edgewood.
- Police received a report about a phone scam at a local business on Route 879.
- Police conducted a traffic stop on River Road, which allegedly resulted in a DUI and possession of a controlled substance. Charges are to be filed as a result.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of simple assault that occurred on Turnpike Avenue.
- Police conducted a warrant service after a vehicle was stopped on Route 879.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle at the Lawrence Township Rec Park. Police say it resulted in an ignition interlock violation.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft involving an employee at Wal-Mart.
- Police received a report about damage to an attended vehicle, which allegedly resulted in a DUI. Charges are currently pending.
- Police received an animal complaint involving two goats at the Hyde light.
- Police received a traffic complaint along Route 879.
- Police received a report about people consuming controlled substances in a vehicle in the parking lot at the Clearfield Mall. Upon arrival, police made contact with them, and the driver was arrested for DUI and possession of controlled substance. He also had several warrants and was put in county jail. Police say other passengers will also be charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with an intoxicated, disorderly female. She was allegedly in possession of a controlled substance and being housed at county jail. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police received a report about an intoxicated male on Race Street. Upon making contact with him, police found he was allegedly in possession of a controlled substance. Charges are to be filed as a result.
- Police received a report about an activated alarm at a local business on Route 322.
- Police received a report about a tractor-trailer striking the bridge on River Road.
- Police received an animal call at the Wal-Mart store.
- Police received a report about a business alarm on Route 879.
- Police received a report about a traffic violation that occurred on Interstate 80.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about a verbal dispute on West Long Avenue. Upon arrival, a witness told police a male was threatening to shut off some utilities. He was in the process of evicting the male.
- Police received a report about an employee theft that occurred at Paris Cleaners. During commission of the crime, an employee stole microfiber towels and tried to sell them. The male agreed to return the towels, and no further police assistance was necessary.
- Police received a report about an activated alarm at the DuBois Diner. Upon arrival, police found the building was secured, and the key holder wasn’t responding to the scene. Police cleared without incident.
- Police served a warrant in the 500 block of Knarr Street. Patti Richards was subsequently taken into custody and lodged in the county jail.
- Police received a report about an assault in the 400 block of West Washington Avenue. According to police, a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation between three people. Police say one male was taken to the hospital for treatment, and charges are currently pending.
