State police at Clearfield
- On Tuesday state police received a report about a 20-year-old Philipsburg woman who had allegedly altered a script in an attempt to get a greater quantity of pills at CVS Pharmacy in Decatur Township. The pharmacy employees caught the attempt, didn’t fill the script and instead contacted state police. Charges are to be filed through the district court.
State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about an incident of retail theft that occurred Monday at the Goodwill store in Reynoldsville Borough. During the incident, a 76-year-old Punxsutawney woman allegedly transferred price tags on items in order to deprive the store of the full retail value. She will be charged through the district court.
- State police reported a drug incident that occurred Tuesday on Interstate 80 in Washington Township. According to the report, a vehicle operated by a 20-year-old female was stopped. A trooper allegedly detected the odor of burnt marijuana, and the female was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of identity theft that occurred Monday on West Presqueisle Street in Philipsburg Borough. The victim told police her identity was compromised after she provided a company her information for student loan forgiveness.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred between April 1 and June 15 on State Road in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly poured sugar into a 1933 Indiana Fire Truck’s gas tank. State police say the sugar was filtered out before it reached the motor, and it didn’t cause any damage to the engine. State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred Aug. 12 at the Punxsutawney Moose International in Young Township. It remains under investigation at this time.
State police at Ridgway
- State police reported a drug incident that occurred Aug. 24 in Fox Township. An informant contacted the barracks and stated that a 61-year-old Kersey man was growing marijuana on his property. A search warrant was obtained and various items, including marijuana, were allegedly seized from the man’s residence. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about a male and female who were engaged in a verbal argument on Elk Avenue. Upon arrival, police were unable to locate anyone in the area.
- Police received a report about a GPS unit that was allegedly removed from a vehicle while it was parked along North Fourth Street.
- Police received a report about damage that occurred to a vehicle on Leavy Avenue. Upon arrival, police observed scratches on the vehicle, and their investigation is continuing at this time.
- Police received a report about a dog that was apparently removed from a fenced-in yard along Nichols Street. Police say that its collar was located some distance away from the yard.
- Police received a report about two females who were entering a residence through a window on East Pine Street. Upon arrival, police searched the residence with negative results.
- Police received a report about a male who was smoking marijuana from a pipe on Nichols Street. Upon arrival, police were unable to locate the male.
- Police reported that a wallet was located and turned in. Police were able to locate the owner and contact them.
- Police received a report about a disturbance involving family members on West Pine Street. Upon investigation, police found it wasn’t physical in nature, and those involved agreed to separate in order to diffuse the situation.
- Police assisted a motorist who had locked their keys inside their vehicle.
- Police received a report about a disabled vehicle on Turnpike Avenue. Police were able to assist and get the vehicle operational.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged indecent assault in the area of West Front Street. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received several reports about phone scams. Once again, police would like to remind residents not to provide any personal information over the phone.
- Police received a report about a lawn mower fire in Country Club Circle.
- Police received a report about an alleged burglary in the area of Kurtz Road.
- Police received a report about a dead deer on the Rockton Mountain Highway. It was removed by police.
- Police received a report about a civil custody issue in the area of Garman Lane.
- Police received a report about a disabled vehicle that was partially blocking Riverview Road.
