State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of theft/criminal trespass that occurred Aug. 22 in a wooded/field area along McNeal Run Road in Jordan Township. During the incident, a 27-year-old Curwensville man allegedly trespassed onto the victim’s property and stole a trail camera system with an estimated $1,000 value. Charges are currently pending through the district court.
State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred sometime between Oct. 1, 2016 and Aug. 13 at a Route 28 address in Warsaw Township. During the incident, an 18-year-old male allegedly stole approximately $15,000 from a family member’s residence. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run in the area of Leonard Street.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft and criminal mischief in the area of Flegal Road.
- Police received a traffic complaint that occurred on Route 879. Upon arrival, officers located and stopped the vehicle; its driver was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Charges are currently pending blood test results.
- Police conducted a traffic stop on River Road. Upon investigation, the driver was allegedly found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Police also say the driver and their passenger were in possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. Charges are to be filed pending blood and laboratory analysis.
Sandy Township
- Police received a report about a false alarm Friday at an Oklahoma Salem Road residence.
- On Saturday police received a report about a 33-year-old Treasure Lake woman being harassed by a known woman via text message. She told police that she originally sent a text to the woman about her being mean to her brother, and their exchange became heated. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a report about a false alarm Saturday at a Treasure Lake residence.
- On Saturday police reported that two tractor-trailers were involved in a minor accident in the Pilot parking lot. The drivers had exchanged information prior to police arrival.
- On Sunday police received a report about two small children who were in car seats and left unattended in a vehicle in the Lowe’s parking lot. However, the gray Silverado was gone upon police arrival.
- On Sunday police received a report involving hotel guests from Holiday Inn Express employees. According to police, a 32-year-old DuBois man and his 23-year-old girlfriend, along with their small child, had checked into the hotel and neglected to pay for the last two nights of their stay. Employees turned off the key access to the room. When they checked the room, it allegedly contained many of their belongings, several items of drug paraphernalia and illegal substances. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Sunday police received a report from Blinker Sheetz employees who stated that a suspicious male had been wandering around the store for a long period of time. Officers located the 33-year-old Penfield man and handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a report about a 911 hang-up call from a South Main Street residence on Sunday. Upon arrival officers spoke to the 87-year-old resident who was upset with her 66-year-old daughter for taking away her car keys, and the two had engaged in a verbal confrontation. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Sunday police received a report from a 29-year-old Sandy Township man who stated that he was being harassed by a Kwik Fill employee. He told police when he goes to the store to get gas, the woman harasses him. When officers spoke to the 28-year-old woman, she stated that she had been friends with the man. When she realized he had a temper, she stopped hanging out with him. However, he kept trying to come to the store to talk to her, she stated. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Sunday police located a suspicious vehicle parked at the Wayne Road Storage units on the Bee Line Highway. When officers approached the vehicle, there was an obvious smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Two 19-year-old occupants allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana, and officers handled the situation without incident.
