State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Dec. 8, 2016 in Winslow Township. During the incident, a 46-year-old woman, who was identified as Cheryl Battaglia, allegedly took donated goods from the Goodwill Store.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred sometime between Aug. 1, 2015 and June 8, 2016 in Winslow Township. A 50-year-old woman, who has been identified as Candace Rucinski, allegedly abused her power of attorney and used the victim’s money for her own personal gain.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of retail theft and public drunkenness that occurred Thursday at Uni-Mart in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 40-year-old woman, identified as Maureen L. Confer, allegedly stole $3.20 worth of merchandise from the store. She was also under the influence and being extremely irate, according to the report. Charges were subsequently filed against Confer through the district court.
- State police received a report about an incident of simple assault that occurred between Aug. 1 and Thursday on Mudlick Road in Huston Township. During the incident, a 46-year-old Boalsburg man assaulted the victim at a champ by allegedly kicking her off a stool and striking her with a metal chair in the face. He also wouldn’t let her leave or make a phone call; he damaged her cell phone before leaving the camp with her purse, she told state police. State police didn’t identify the man in the report but said an arrest warrant has been issued on charges of simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment, harassment, theft and criminal mischief.
- State police reported on a DUI crash that occurred Saturday on Ammerman Road in Union Township. According to state police, a 29-year-old Julian woman crashed her vehicle, and she was found to be under the influence. Charges are currently pending blood test results.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of theft by unlawful taking that occurred sometime between July 10 and Friday on Heathville Ohl Road in Beaver Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole approximately 30’ of copper wire from the United Electric Corp.’s power facility. The total value of the stolen wire is approximately $100, according to state police. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Punxsutawney at 814-938-0510.
- State police received a report about an incident of reckless endangering that occurred June 29 on Greenhouse Road in Punxsutawney. According to the report, a single gunshot came into a wooded area and impacted near the victims. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred June 29 on Angel Way in North Point, Pa. During the incident, a known suspect and the victim had a verbal interaction outside the victim’s residence. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of scattering rubbish that occurred July 16 in a grass field adjacent to Pike Road in Punxsutawney. During the incident, a female allegedly threw a plastic bag full of trash onto the victim’s property. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred sometime July 2-3 at a grass field near Juneau Road and Altman Avenue Extension in Bell Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole an industrial battery from the victim’s property. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of access device fraud that occurred sometime between July 17 and July 21 at a residence along Horner Road in Jones Township. During the incident, someone allegedly used the victim’s bank card to withdraw approximately $1,562 without permission. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Clearfield Borough
- Police arrested a female for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after she was stopped for a traffic violation. She was allegedly found to be impaired.
- Police had a bank card turned in after it was located at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds. Police contacted the owner and returned it.
- Police had a wallet turned in after it was located along state Route 879. Police were able to return the wallet and its contents to the owner.
- Police responded to a parking complaint on East Market Street. According to police, a neighbor was having a yard sale and vehicles were parking in the caller’s yard.
- Police responded to a trespassing complaint on East Walnut Street. Upon arrival, police found that the person had permission to be on the property.
- Police located a male who was “highly intoxicated” on Krebs Avenue. He was initially transported to the hospital for treatment. He was later transported to the jail due to an active warrant through Pennsylvania State Parole.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with locating a juvenile who ran from his residence. He was located in Clearfield Borough and turned over to Juvenile Probation officers.
- Police arrested a male and female for public intoxication after an incident at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds. According to the report, officers were attempting to take a male into custody. However, a female attempted to pull officers off him.
- Police assisted the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office with a vehicle stop along Bigler Avenue. According to police, the driver had several warrants out for his arrest. He was taken to the jail on the warrants.
- Police arrested a male on a warrant through the Sheriff’s Office after he was observed at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds.
- Police responded to the Clearfield County Fairgrounds, where a male was intoxicated and refusing to leave. Upon arrival, he fled on foot from officers; he was later located along West Front Street. He was allegedly found to be consuming alcohol underage and while on probation. He was transported to the jail as a result.
- Police were dispatched to the area of Bigler Avenue after a report about a reckless driver who was passing in a no passing zone. However, police were unable to locate the vehicle.
- Police received a report about an intoxicated female in the area of Reed Street. Upon arrival, she was allegedly found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. She was on probation and taken to the county jail.
- Police responded to an alarm along Ogden Avenue. Police located a construction company at the scene, and it was performing work.
- Police assisted a motorist who had locked their keys inside their vehicle along North Second Street.
- Police received a report about a female who was partially unclothed and under the influence on Weaver Street. Police responded but were unable to locate the female.
- Police responded to a noise complaint on South Second Street. Police advised the person responsible of the complaint.
- Police responded to an alarm on River Road. Upon arrival, everything was found to be OK.
- Police reported that methamphetamine was recovered from a male who was at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds. Police said he was also found to be under the influence.
Decatur Township
- Police received a call about a weapons incident. According to police, it was reported a male had been shot during a domestic dispute in the area of the Gearhartsville Sportsman’s Club. Upon arrival, police located the male who was not shot but under the influence. He had multiple warrants through the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office, and he was subsequently taken into custody.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of North Front Street and the Troy-Hawk Run Highway. One vehicle was towed from the scene; no injuries were reported to police.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 322 and Graham Station Road. According to the report, traffic slowed in front of a vehicle, and it rear-ended the vehicle ahead of it. Both vehicles were disabled and towed from the scene.
- Police received a report about a wallet, which contained money, being stolen from Sheetz. The wallet was returned to its owner, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
- Police were contacted about a wallet that was found with other items. The owner was contacted and the wallet and items were returned to her.
- Police found a lost dog along Mease Road. It was later returned to its owner.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident at CNB Bank, which was non-reportable. There weren’t any injuries and minor damage to both vehicles.
- Police received a report about a reckless driver on Route 322. Police located the vehicle and found the driver to be OK.
- Police responded to a noise complaint along Perks Street.
