State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of retail theft that occurred Thursday at the Wal-Mart in Fox Township. During the incident, a 16-year-old St. Marys male allegedly attempted to remove multiple items from the store without paying for them. He was cited for the incident through the district court.
Lawrence Township
- Police received reports about several alleged retail thefts that occurred at Wal-Mart. The incidents are currently pending at this time.
- Police received a trespassing complaint that occurred on Mount Joy Road.
- Police responded to a psychological emergency on Jean Lane.
- Police received several reports about IRS phone scams. Police would like to remind residents not to provide any personal information out over the telephone.
- Police conducted a traffic stop in the area the Clearfield – Glen Richey Highway. During the stop, police determined that the person was wanted.
- Police conducted a traffic stop on the Clearfield-Shawville Highway. It resulted in a DUI, and charges are to be filed pending blood test results.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of medication in the area of Clarendon Avenue. It remains under investigation at this time.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about multiple dogs running loose at a Morrison Street address. Upon arrival, police observed the dogs in the middle of the roadway and proceeded to make contact with their owner. Due to it being an ongoing issue, police cited the owner for the incident.
- Police received a report about 911 hang-up calls from a South Highland Street address. Upon arrival at the scene, police determined there wasn’t any emergency, as the calls were placed by several juveniles. Police cleared the scene without incident.
- Police received a report about a male who allegedly violated his probation. Police explained to the caller that they were unable to do anything about it, and directed them to contact the probation department.
- Police were requested to assist emergency personnel with a male who was lying on the ground with a head laceration in the 200 block of West Long Avenue. Upon speaking with the male, police detected a strong odor of alcohol. He was transported to the hospital for further treatment, and he was cited for public intoxication.
- Police received a report about a domestic dispute on Shaffer Avenue. Police made contact with both people who were involved, and they separated for the night.
Sandy Township
- On Wednesday police received a report about an incident of retail theft from employees at JC Penney. During the incident, a blonde-haired woman allegedly left the store with an undetermined about of merchandise without paying for it. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Thursday police received a report about a dog barking at a residence on Forest Glen Lane. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Thursday police received a report from a 20-year-old township resident who stated that she is continually being harassed by a 19-year-old Treasure Lake woman. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Thursday police received a report from Kwik Fill employees about an African-American male who had entered the store and requested to buy 15 cartons of cigarettes. According to police, when he swiped a credit card, it was declined; he asked the employee to enter the numbers by hand. However, the employee recognized this as a scam that had been used at the Clearfield Kwik Fill, and they told the male it was declined. The man stated he was going to his car to get cash, and he left the scene. Police said he was with another African-American male and they left in a dark-colored Ford Taurus with Illinois registration.
- On Thursday police received a report from a Denton Avenue resident who had observed a suspicious male taking random picture in the area. However, he was gone upon police arrival.
- On Thursday police received a report from a 23-year-old township resident. She called 911 when she thought she heard her boyfriend talking to someone in the other room. Officers handled the situation without incident.
