CHESTER HILL BOROUGH – A Chester Hill Borough fire has been ruled arson, according to a report issued by the state police at Clearfield.
A neighbor who was leaving for work discovered the fire at 4:30 a.m. Sunday at 611 Laura St. Upon arrival to the scene, firefighters forced entry into the home.
Once inside, they located fire in the kitchen in the rear of the home on the first floor, as well as in the master bedroom near the front of the home on the second floor.
A Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal was requested to investigate the origin and cause of the fire. The fire marshal determined the fire was intentionally set.
There wasn’t anyone at home at the time of the fire department’s arrival, state police said.
