Thomas H. Reams Sr., 70, of Osceola Mills died Thursday, July 6, 2017 at UPMC Altoona Hospital in Altoona.
He was the son of the late Franklin and Angelina (Bonfitto) Reams. He married D. Elaine (Bush) Reams on March 22, 1966 in Buffalo, NY; she survives at home.
Mr. Reams was of the Presbyterian faith.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and had received his GED.
He was a member of the Osceola Lodge No. 515 F.&A.M. in Osceola Mills of which he was the Worshipful Master in 1996.
He was a member of the VFW Post 5020 in Osceola Mills; a life member of the Columbia Fire Co. in Osceola Mills; and a member of the Central District Fireman Association. He had served as a member of Osceola Mills Borough Council.
He retired from NAPA in Philipsburg. He had also worked for 40 years as a coal miner for the former Stott Coal Co.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Wilson and one brother, Frank Reams.
Along with his wife he is survived by, one daughter, Kim Mason and her husband, Scott of Philipsburg and three sons, Thomas H. Reams Jr. and his wife, Peggy of Osceola Mills, Michael D. Reams and his wife, Holly of Clarksville, Tenn., and Timothy F. Reams and his companion, JoAnn Spencer of Ponca, Neb. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills with the Rev. Robert Bruinooge officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
