State police at Philipsburg
- State police reported a drug violation that occurred Tuesday on East Locust and North Centre streets in Philipsburg Borough. According to state police, a motorcyclist was stopped for numerous vehicle code violations. They were also allegedly found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Charges are currently pending at this time.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police responded to a report about a missing juvenile Wednesday afternoon in Brookville. According to state police, a 10-year-old boy was playing outside when he had a disagreement with his brother. Afterward he ran away and had last been seen near the Armory around 8:15 p.m. Brookville, Summerville and Pine Creek fire departments responded to assist with the search. The boy was located around 10:58 p.m. by authorities.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred July 2 on Pike Road in Henderson Township. According to state police, the victim was selling an item online. They thought a potential buyer had sent money for the item and shipping. However, it was found that an e-mail, which appeared to be from PayPal, was fake. The victim had provided money to the shipper and was allegedly scammed out of $950.
Lawrence Township
- Police were requested to check the welfare of an elderly male who was walking on U.S. Route 322/Daisy Street Extension. He appeared to be having a problem walking. Upon arrival, police were unable to locate the male.
- Police received a report about a white substance that was found at a business on Leonard Street. Upon arrival, police found that it was baby formula.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications in the area of the Clearfield-Woodland Highway.
- Police received a report about a phone scam in the area of Flegal Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft in the area of Byers Street.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident on Daisy Street Extension. No injuries were reported as a result.
- Police received a report about a possible drunken driver in the area of Leonard Street. However, police were unable to locate the vehicle.
- Police received a report about a domestic dispute at Lawrence Park Village.
- Police received a report about a psychological emergency at the Lawrence Park Village.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about a 911 hang-up call on West Washington Avenue. However, police found everything was OK.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment from a male. He also told police someone had messed with his bike. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about a domestic dispute on South Franklin Street. The caller stated that his daughter’s boyfriend had punched him in the face. Police made contact with those involved, and there wasn’t any sign of injury. Upon investigation, police determined there wasn’t any criminal action that warranted citations or arrests.
