CLEARFIELD – A DuBois woman accused of having a methamphetamine lab in her home pleaded guilty Monday in Clearfield County Court.

Coal Industry Jobs Protected Under Gabler Legislation
HARRISBURG – Legislation authored by state Rep. Matt Gabler (R-Clearfield/Elk) to protect jobs in Pennsylvania’s coal industry during difficult economic times passed the State House on Monday. House Bill 1333 may now be considered by the state Senate.

CLEARFIELD – The possibility of drastic cuts in court and social services funding in the Pennsylvania budget continues to be a concern for the Clearfield County Commissioners.
PHILIPSBURG – Officials of the Moshannon Valley Economic Development Partnership announced today that they have entered into an agreement with Kissinger Bigatel and Brower Realtors (KBB) of State College to market, lease and or sell partnership properties located in the Philipsburg region.
Waterline and Sanitary Sewer Overflows Top Municipal Authority Meeting
CLEARFIELD – Waterline and sanitary sewer overflows were discussed at yesterday’s Clearfield Municipal Authority meeting held at the Moose Creek facility. The board also voted on bids for heating oil and chemicals.
CLEARFIELD – A Munson man accused of having drugs and explosives at a Clearfield residence, where he was harboring a fugitive waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday at the Clearfield County Jail.
Senate Approves Senator White’s School Safety Bill
HARRISBURG – The Senate has approved Senate Bill 383 legislation introduced by Senator Don White that would give school boards the option of allowing licensed and trained staff to carry firearms on school property.
Governor Wolf Signs Law to Increase Penalties for Endangering Children
HARRISBURG – Gov. Tom Wolf has signed House Bill 217, renewing the commonwealth’s commitment to the safety of its children and increasing penalties for those who carelessly and flagrantly endanger them.
