Catherine Louise Miller Timchak, 75, of Suffolk, Va., and formerly of Osceola Mills, died Oct. 19, 2016 at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital surrounded by her husband, family and very good friend, Paul (PD) Davidson.
She was also lovingly known as Kay and Honey and born Nov. 3, 1940 in Philipsburg. She was the daughter of the late William and Verna (Socash) Miller.
She graduated from Osceola Mills High School in 1958. She was voted as best dancer in her class and loved Elvis and 50’s music. She also loved bowling and playing softball in her younger days.
After graduating high school, she met Ronald Timchak at a dance and married him April 23, 1960. The couple spent the next 20-plus years traveling the world with the U.S. Navy and living in places, such as the Philippines, Maine, Texas, California, Mississippi and finally retiring in the Norfolk, Va. area.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Miller Kephart and her brother, John Miller.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ron; her children, Wendy, Ginger and Chris; brother, Robert Miller; and sisters, Marjorie Winters and Joanne Butterbaugh.
She was also very proud of her four grandchildren, Stevie, Heather, Veronica and Sean and was blessed with six great-grandchildren, Noah, Levi, Emery, Autumn, Paisley and Ezra.
Her wishes were not to have a funeral, but a celebration of her life with family and friends.
As such, a memorial service/celebration in her honor will be held from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Monday at the Coal Run Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Osceola Mills. A reception will follow.
