Kenneth L. Thurston, 65, of Crystal River, Fla., died June 21, 2017 at his home.
He was born March 26, 1952 in Elmira, NY to Kenneth and Jeanette (Collins) Thurston.
An avid sports fan especially Texas A&M sports and NASCAR racing, Mr. Thurston was a retired vice president of a home improvement store.
He was a very proud U.S. Army veteran and a member of the American Legion and VFW.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Velma Mae Thurston.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Yolanda Sheehan and her husband, Terry and Jason Thurston and his wife, Alexis and seven grandchildren, Kelly Ann, Sarah, Saleena, and James Sheehan and Tyler, McKayla and Gabriel Thurston.
Private services were held Wednesday as Mr. Thurston was laid to rest with military honors at the Temple Cemetery in Hazen, Pa.
