State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of theft from a motor vehicle that occurred Tuesday or Wednesday on Casher Lane in Bradford Township. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the victim’s vehicle and removed money from her purse, which was inside. The victim’s vehicle was parked at her residence at the time of the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred June 17-18 in the area of the Rushton Mine in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged the gate to the mine’s entrance. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of burglary/theft that occurred June 13 at Wayne Road Storage in Winslow Township. According to the report, state police responded to a burglary in progress after the victim observed a man inside his storage unit. The victim told state police that his lock had been cut off, and a new lock was put on the unit. Upon further investigation, state police determined a 28-year-old Sykesville man, James E. Michaud, allegedly removed some of the victim’s belongings out of Unit 10 and into Unit 9, which was being leased by his family. State police identified the man, an arrest warrant was issued June 20 and he was taken into custody that same day. Michaud was arraigned with his bail being set at $50,000 monetary.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment in the area of Byers Street.
- Police responded to a report about a possible overdose on Daisy Street Extension.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a person on Read Road. Police found that they were not endangered.
- Police received a report about a male who was allegedly being disorderly at the Snappy’s Convenience Store. He was housed in county jail, and charges are currently pending for public drunkenness.
- Police received a report about glass on the roadway in the area of Coal Hill and Montgomery Run roads.
- Police received a report about suspicious activity in the Hillsdale area.
- Police received a report about a physical domestic dispute involving a male and female along the Clearfield-Curwensville Highway. However, police were unable to locate anyone in the area.
