State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of burglary that occurred Tuesday at the Wines & Spirits store in Decatur Township. During the incident, someone allegedly forcibly entered the store and removed several bottles of alcohol. Then, they fled the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police reported an incident of DUI that occurred Sunday on Route 28 near Mumford Tire in Rose Township. According to state police, a 31-year-old Brookville man was stopped for a summary traffic violation. He was allegedly found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and to be driving under the influence. Charges are currently pending at this time.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred between May 21 and Saturday on Buffalo Road in Benezette Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a trail camera from the victim’s property. State police are continuing their investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Ridgway at 814-776-6136.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred on East Eighth Street. During the incident, a male was allegedly seen driving by a residence in which the occupants have an active Protection from Abuse order. Police are continuing to investigate the allegation at this time.
- Police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief on Reed Street. During the incident, someone allegedly attempted to gain entry into a rent collection slot and caused damage.
- Police assisted a motorist who had their keys locked inside their vehicle along East Seventh Street.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft from a local business. After reviewing surveillance footage, police were able to identify the suspect.
Lawrence Township
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a resident on Mount Joy Road.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a juvenile who was walking along Rails to Trails. Upon arrival, police were unable to locate the juvenile.
- Police received a report about a traffic violation that occurred in the Kerr Addition area.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male who was walking along Route 879.
- Police received a report about an alleged drug violation at a local motel. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about a disorderly and intoxicated man at a local motel. Upon arrival, police located and identified him as a 51-year-old Grampian man. He was taken into custody and will be charged for the incident.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespassing along Legion Road. Police will cite a 36-year-old Hyde woman for the incident.
- Police received a report about a vehicle fire in the area of Leonard and Daisy streets.
- Police received a report about a possible structure fire in the area of Jean Lane. It was determined to be unfounded.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute in the Glen Richey area. Charges are currently pending against a male suspect.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespassing and harassment.
DuBois City
- Police assisted with a diabetic emergency. The patient was taken to Penn Highlands for treatment.
- Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident. However, both vehicles had left prior to police arrival.
- Police received a report about an assault at a Rumbarger Avenue address. However, the victim didn’t want to pursue charges.
- Police received a report about juveniles inside an abandoned home on West Weber Avenue. Upon arrival, police spoke with the juveniles and told them not to go back onto or into the property.
Sandy Township
- On May 26, police received a report about a barking dog on Hill Street. It was handled without incident.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Comcast on May 26.
- On May 26, employees of Buck’s Pizza reported that two former employees were at the restaurant and causing a disturbance. However, both were gone upon police arrival to the scene.
- On May 26, a Maple Avenue resident reported that patrons of the Gateway were blocking the alley. Police handled the situation without incident.
- On May 26, police received a report that a male and female were involved in a physical fight in front of Gourmet Buffet. However, they were gone upon police arrival to the scene. The female later contacted police, saying the fight between her and her ex-boyfriend was not physical, and both were OK.
- On Saturday employees of the Falls Creek Sheetz store reported that a female customer became irate when they refused to allow her to buy beer because she did not have proper identification. She was gone prior to police being called to the scene.
- On Sunday a 35-year-old Vandergrift woman reported that while staying at Cayman Landing and having an argument with her grandchildren, her 62-year-old mother made a comment about driving her truck into the lake. Police located the woman and found her to be OK.
- On Sunday police received a report about a woman who was passed out inside a vehicle that was parked in the West Sandy Fire Hall parking lot. She told police she was on medication following surgery and was having trouble driving in the rain. She was belligerent with officers, according to the report. Police said that the woman contacted someone for a ride, and she was released from the scene.
- On Sunday a trucking company requested police to attempt to locate and check the well-being of a driver who they could not contact. The driver was located at the Falls Creek Sheetz and was OK; he had just stopped to sleep.
- On Monday a 70-year-old DuBois man reported losing his cell phone between DuBois and Rockton.
- On Monday a Wig Wam Avenue man reported his 67-year-old neighbor threatened to “take care of it himself” if his dogs were barking. Police handled the situation without incident.
