State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of theft by deception that occurred Monday on Blarney Stone Road in Union Township. During the incident, an unknown male allegedly claimed to be an Apple employee, contacted the victim and advised she had won the lottery. She was directed to purchase $200 worth of iTune gift cards, which she did. State police said once she provided the card information, the male terminated the call.
- On Saturday state police received a report from a Philipsburg woman about an alleged crime. However, it was determined to be a false accusation. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct that occurred Monday on Skyline Drive in Fox Township. During the incident, a Kersey male allegedly threatened two victims while refusing to leave a bar. State police said he caused a “physically offensive nature” while inside and then along the street while “manifestly” under the influence of alcohol.
Clearfield Borough
- Police were dispatched to a report about a fight involving several females at Lower Witmer Park. Upon arrival, police did not locate a physical fight. Police made contact with people there, and the investigation is ongoing.
- Police arrested a female for DUI after she allegedly operated a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs.
- Police received a report about a male who was observed staggering along Weaver Street. Police located the male and determined he was under the influence. Upon searching the male, police allegedly located pills that did not belong on him. Police said that the male didn’t have permission to possess the medication.
- Police responded to an alarm on Spruce Street. Upon arrival, police found an employee at the scene.
- Police responded to a report about a male who was sending messages implying self-harm. Police located the male and transported him to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
- Police assisted a motorist with unlocking their vehicle along Bridge Street.
Lawrence Township
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a female at a Mount Joy Road residence. Upon arrival, police found she was OK.
- Police assisted Children & Youth Services personnel at a Palmer Street residence.
- Police received a report about a 911 hang-up call on High Level Road. While en route, police were notified it was an accidental dial.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment involving two juvenile males. One juvenile allegedly punched the other, and it remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about a neighbor dispute on Mill Road.
- Police received a report about a traffic violation that occurred on the Clearfield – Curwensville Highway.
- Police received a report about lost, stolen or mislaid property.
- Police received a report about an unruly child. Upon arrival, police handled the incident at the scene.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a report about a motorist trespassing at a Meadow Street business. Upon arrival, police advised the motorist not to be on the property with a vehicle.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of residents at a Fourth Avenue address. Children & Youth Services personnel were unable to make contact with anyone there. Upon arrival, police made contact with the residents and found out there has been a history of abuse. Police notified CYS and a caseworker responded to the scene.
- Police handled a parking complaint in the area of Park Avenue and Beech Street.
- Police responded to a neighbor dispute in the area of Thompson and George streets.
- Police responded to a report of a tobacco violation at the Curwensville High School. A known juvenile was cited for the incident.
- Police received a report about a motorist operating a vehicle recklessly in Irvin Park and causing damage to the roadway. Police located and cited the motorist.
- Police received a report about young juveniles who were looking in mailboxes and causing a disturbance in the area of Schofield Street. Police will provide additional patrols in the area.
- Police assisted the Rescue Hose & Ladder Fire Department and Ambulance with an occupational accident on Stadium Drive.
