Annaliese Travis, 91, of Dutchtown died Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the home of her son James.
She was born Feb. 16, 1926 in Frankfurt, Germany to the late Ferdinand and Maria Anna (Massinger) Hess. She worked at General Cigar as a factory worker.
She is survived by three sons, James H. “Bo” Travis Jr. and his wife, Millie of Madera, Hugo Travis and his significant other, Sandy of Dutchtown and Charles Travis and his significant other, Laura of Houtzdale and two daughters, Delores Slusher of Maryland and Cindy Nadvit and her husband, Mike of Houtzdale.
She is survived by 10 grandchildren, Angela Ruppert, Joan Eggers, Carmella Jacobs, Bonita Flood, Eva Nadvit, Nina Nadvit, Makalyn Travis, Hugo Travis Jr., Curtis Travis and Donald Travis and five great-grandchildren, John W. Eggers, Madix Berndt, Audrey Berndt, Ellie Jacobs and Dalton Williams.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Travis Sr. in 1994; three brothers, Otto, Albert and Herman; and two sisters, Margaret and Marie.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., Madera.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kevin Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Beulah Cemetery, Ramey.
