DUBOIS – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is continuing with roadway repair work on Route 255 in DuBois.
Crews from Clearfield County PennDOT Maintenance began work last week on base repairs along Route 255 from the Liberty Boulevard intersection toward the Penn State DuBois campus.
Last week’s weather slowed work progress and PennDOT now expects the work zone to be in place through the week of May 15.
Two lanes of traffic (one lane each direction) will be maintained as crews work from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. each day.
It is possible that some work may require roadway flagging and drivers should remain alert for crew members in and near the roadway.
Drivers should also expect travel delays, which could be lengthy—especially during arrival to school and dismissal.
Area drivers are also being alerted to this work through message boards along Route 255. PennDOT reminds drivers to use caution in and around all work zones, obey posted speed limits and always buckle up.
