CLEARFIELD – Travis Metcalf attended the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center (CCCTC) and was enrolled in the 175th graduating class of truck driver training program. He was hired by Trans-Am Transportation upon graduation.
Trans-Am explained Metcalf was hired after only three of the six weeks of training they provide every employee due to his advanced training at CCCTC.
Metcalf was given a 2017 tractor after finishing the three-week training. His instructors at CCCTC explained that he was a model student, and it showed through his work ethic and attendance during his time at CCCTC.
Metcalf is only one example of how CCCTC graduates use their education to strengthen the industry in their field of study.
