FLINTON – The Glendale Lady Vikings softball team improved to 10-3 on the season with a 12-8 home win over the Lady Bison of Clearfield on Wednesday evening.
Glendale took command of the game from the first inning by putting up seven runs on Clearfield.
The Lady Vikings stretched the lead to 10-1 after three frames thanks to three more runs in the bottom of the third inning.
Clearfield did not go quietly however, as it scored two in the fifth inning, three in the sixth and two more in the top half of the seventh to make it respectable.
Shortstop Brooke Cline had a big day for the Lady Bison with four hits, including a double and a triple.
Erica Hanes added two hits for Clearfield with one being a double.
Makenzie Lukehart paced the Glendale offense with three hits that included a double and a triple.
Lexi Mulhollen helped the Lady Vikings also, banging out two hits, one being a solo home run in the third inning.
The Lady Bison (0-12) play at Bald Eagle Area on Thursday, a team that defeated Clearfield, on April 11, 8-5 at the Bison Sports Complex.
