BREAKING: Man Who Jumped from Bridge in Goldenrod Flown for Treatment, Police Say

GOLDENROD – A male was flown from the scene by medical helicopter after he jumped from a bridge along Route 322 in Goldenrod Thursday morning, Lawrence Township police say.

Police received a report at 8:39 a.m. that a male had jumped over the northern side of the bridge. Upon arrival to the scene, police say the male was found lying on the ground beneath the bridge.

No further information was provided by police in a department news release, while the investigation is still continuing at this time.

The male had jumped approximately 50 feet from the bridge, injuring himself severely. He was extricated by emergency responders, township fire officials say.

Clearfield Borough police, Clearfield Emergency Medical Services and STAT MedEvac assisted at the scene.

The roadway was shut down for a short period of time, and emergency crews operated at the scene for approximately one hour.
