Virginia I. “Ginny” Nesbitt, 91, formerly of DuBois, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Christ the King Manor.
Born Oct. 10, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Harry M. and Edna E. (Roderick) Wray.
On Jan. 4, 1947, she married John A. “Jack” Nesbitt. He preceded her in death Nov. 25, 2007.
She worked at Rockwell International Manufacturing and was a nurse’s aide at the DuBois Hospital. She enjoyed planting flowers and sewing.
She is survived by two sons, William D. Nesbitt and his wife, Linda of Oakland, Ky., and Bruce A. Nesbitt of DuBois; three brothers, Thomas Wray and Earl Wray and his wife, Ginny, both of DuBois, and William Wray of Hamburg, Pa.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Wray and Kathryn Matson; three brothers, Robert “Auckie” Wray, Melvin “Boobie” Wray and Harry “Sooner” Wray; three infant sons, twin boys, Dennis and Daniel and Richard; and an infant daughter, Betsy Lynn.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Baronick Funeral Home and Crematorium Inc.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Felt officiating. Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
