Frances G. “Jenny” Slack Foradora, 97, of Falls Creek died Monday, May 1, 2017 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born Dec. 8, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Louis Frank Slack and Sophia Josephine Miklic.
On March 31, 1943, she married Paul Joseph Foradora. He preceded her in death Aug. 14, 1974.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, reading, baking and gardening, as well as visiting with family and friends.
She was a member of the St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Society. She was also a member of the American Fraternal Union of Baggaley Lodge No. 13.
She is survived by five children, Lynn Smathers and her husband, Gerald of Franklin, Denise Foradora and Mark Foradora, both of Falls Creek, Paul Foradora Jr. and his wife, Sonya of Cleveland, Ohio and Bart Foradora and his wife, Nancy of DuBois. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Sophia Urbank, Mary Kozel, Agnes Slack, Christine Alburg and Annie Slack and three brothers, Louis Slack, Joe Slack and Rudolph Slack.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Baronick Funeral Home and Crematorium Inc.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Falls Creek with Fr. Matias M. Quimno as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
