State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Friday in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a known 33-year-old man allegedly called the victim repeatedly after being told to stop. Charges will be filed through the district court.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report from Highland Township officials about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred sometime between Friday and Monday at a gas well site on Sackett Road, which is approximately four miles from its intersection with Route 948. According to state police, a piece of heavy equipment was damaged when unknown persons broke a plastic cover that protects the gauges of the machine. Damage is estimated to be $250, and the investigation is currently ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to please contact the state police at Ridgway at 814-776-6136.
Lawrence Township
- Police responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of the Clearfield-Shawville Highway. No injuries were reported as a result, and towing wasn’t required; one citation was filed by police.
- Police received a report about an incident of scattering rubbish in the area of Calvary Road. Police have identified the suspect and filed charges.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of burglary at a Hyde residence. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about a theft from a motor vehicle in the area of Servomation Drive. However, police determined the actor had permission to remove property from the vehicle.
- Police responded to a psychological emergency in the area of Leonard Street.
- Police responded to an alarm at a business along Airport Road. Police spoke with an employee at the scene.
Sandy Township
- On Friday a Hungry Hollow road resident reported someone had dumped trash on her property. A name and address were found in the trash, and police located the 34-year-old woman on Jared Street. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Friday a 28-year-old township resident reported being harassed by her ex-boyfriend who resides in Philadelphia. Police handled the situation without incident.
- On Friday a 60-year-old Treasure Lake man reported that his girlfriend was causing a disturbance inside his house. She was breaking things and fighting with him. Police arrived at the scene and handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Tri-County Church on Saturday.
- On Saturday a 76-year-old Hollidaysburg woman reported she showed a trailer that she has for sale in Caymen Landing to a 46-year-old DuBois woman who was interested in purchasing it. They discussed the sale but had not finalized anything, she told police. When she returned to the trailer a few days later, the 46-year-old had moved in without permission. Police handled the situation without incident.
- On Saturday a 50-year-old Circle Road man reported that his neighbor yelled at him because his wife’s music was too loud.
- On Sunday a 54-year-old DuBois man was driving around Murray’s Ford looking at vehicles, when he backed into a utility pole. This caused moderate damage to his vehicle, police said, and there wasn’t any damage reported to the pole.
- On Sunday a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old Treasure Lake girl was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting a vehicle driven by a 60-year-old New York man that slowed down due to a jogger crossing the road in Treasure Lake. Moderate damage and no injuries were reported as a result, police said.
- On Sunday a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Reynoldsville girl was turning into the DuBois Mall, when she traveled into the path of a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old Reynoldsville boy who was driving on Shaffer Road, causing the two to collide. Minor injuries and moderate damage were reported as a result, police said.
- On Sunday a Treasure Lake Security reported a cow running loose on hole No. 2 on the Silver Golf Course. Upon arrival, police were informed that the owner was on his way to retrieve the cow.
- While on patrol Sunday, police observed a suspicious male walking behind DuBois Drug and Wellness. Officers made contact with two males – a 21-year-old and a 16-year-old – who stated they were behind the store looking for cigarette butts. According to police, the juvenile was returned to his mother, and the situation was handled without incident.
