Thomas E. Kline, 89 of DuBois and formerly of Somerset, died Monday, May 1, 2017 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born March 13, 1928 in Bigler, he was the son of the late Ai and Ruth (Barnett) Kline.
On Oct. 23, 1954 in State College, he married Kathryn A. (Archer) Kline. She preceded him in death in 2008.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army who served in World War II.
In 1980, he retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Pennsylvania State Trooper after 27 years of service.
He attended the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. He was a member of the American Legion in Somerset and the Fraternal Order of Police. He was an avid golfer and a member of Scottish Heights Golf Club, Brockport.
He is survived by three brothers, Clifford Kline of York, Emery Kline of DuBois and William Kline of Phillipsburg and two sisters, Hilda Shively of DuBois and Idabelle Kirkwood of Jersey Shore.
In addition to his parents and Wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Norman, Ernest and Emerson Kline.
Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Baronick Funeral Home, & Crematorium Inc., with Msgr. Richard Siefer officiating. Burial will be in St. Catherine Cemetery.
