CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Commissioners proclaimed the week of April 23-29 as Animal Cruelty Prevention Week.
Melissa Fannin, humane society officer for Clearfield County, urged people who observe suspected animal cruelty to contact her or an animal shelter.
Fannin said she handles cases involving both domesticated and farm animals. While she doesn’t always “take animals away” from their owners, she works hard to educate them on proper care.
