State police at DuBois
- On Wednesday state police responded to Clayplant Road in Snyder Township due to the death of a known 50-year-old Brockway man. State police didn’t identify the man in the report, and his death remains under investigation at this time.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police reported an incident of burglary that occurred sometime between April 17 and Monday at a Hatten Road residence in Brookville. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the victim’s residence and removed a Ruger LC9 pistol. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Punxsutawney at 814-938-0510.
Lawrence Township
- Police conducted a warrant service in the area of South Second Street. As a result, a male was taken into custody and before Magisterial District Judge Richard Ireland.
- Police recovered personal property in the area of the Clearfield – Shawville Highway. Police were able to identify and contact the owner.
- Police received a report about a traffic violation in the area of Mount Joy Road.
- Police received a report about lost or stolen property in the area of Plaza Drive.
- Police responded to a psychological emergency in the area of Industrial Park Road.
- Police received a report about a traffic violation in the area of the Route 879 Bypass.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment at the Lawrence Park Village Apartments.
- Police received a report about a theft in the area of Leonard Street. It was listed as an unfounded report to police.
- Police received a report about a male who was being disorderly on Log Cabin Road. However, he left the scene prior to police arrival.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment in the area of Washington Avenue. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about a possible psychological emergency in the area of industrial Park Road.
- Police received a report about a traffic violation in the area of the Clearfield – Woodland Highway. Upon arrival in the area, police made negative contact with the motorist/vehicle.
- Police assisted a motorist with a disabled vehicle in the area of the Clearfield – Shawville Highway.
- Police received a report about a phone scam in the area of the Clearfield – Shawville Highway.
- Police assisted a female with a medical issue on Park Avenue Extension.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about a stray dog on Olive Avenue. Upon arrival in the area, police were unable to locate it.
- Police received a report about a drug overdose at an East DuBois Avenue residence. When police arrived, the caller was performing CPR on a male. When emergency personnel arrived, they assumed care and transported the male to the hospital for medical treatment.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief to a vehicle in the 100 block of West Washington Avenue. Upon arrival, the caller stated someone had broken into her son’s truck. Upon police investigation, it appeared someone had broken the rear cap lock of the truck and smashed out the rear window. Police are continuing the investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about a vehicle accident with injuries in the area of East DuBois Avenue and Division Street. According to police, the operator of the first vehicle was taken to the hospital, and their vehicle was towed from the scene. The second vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief at an East Washington Avenue residence. The caller told police a male juvenile had pushed their swing set over an embankment, causing damage to it. The juvenile has been seen in the neighborhood before, police said; the incident remains under investigation at this time.
