Robert Matchock, 79, of Ramey died Friday, April 21, 2017 at his home.
Born June 2, 1937 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Lutz) Matchock.
On Sept. 29, 1962 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, he married Beverly J. Shimmel, who preceded him in death in 2012
He was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey.
He was a 1955 graduate of the Moshannon Valley High School, and he worked as an equipment operator for PennDOT.
He will be deeply missed by his sons, Ronald A. Matchock and his wife, Nancy and Robert L. Matchock; a brother, John Matchock; and two grandchildren, Samantha and Jacob Matchock.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., Ramey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey, with the Rev Zab Amar as celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey.
