State police at Clearfield
- State police reported a DUI incident that occurred Saturday on Richner Road in Decatur Township. During a traffic stop, it was found a known Wallaceton female had allegedly driven a vehicle after smoking marijuana. Charges are currently pending at this time.
State police at DuBois
- State police reported an underage drinking incident that occurred Friday in a field along Route 322 in Sandy Township. According to state police, there was a report about vehicles on private property. Upon arrival, state police found three 18-year-olds and three juveniles consuming alcohol. Charges will be filed through the district court.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police reported an incident of simple assault that occurred April 2 at Slab Town Park in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a known 24-year-old man and a known juvenile were playing a game of basketball. The juvenile allegedly pushed the man, which caused him to fall and strike his head on the ground. The man sustained injuries, state police said, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
- State police reported an alleged incident of sexual assault that occurred Saturday in a camping area in Rush Township. It remains under investigation at this time, and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police reported an incident of theft that occurred sometime between Feb. 1 and Saturday on Lost Hill Road in Ringgold Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took a blue, home-made tow dolly and two wheels and tires for a 1998 Ford Windstar. - State police reported an incident of retail theft that occurred Saturday at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Young Township. During the incident, an unknown male and female allegedly stole a television, sound bar and assorted items, which totaled $422.87, from the store. - State police reported a DUI incident that occurred April 12 on Route 28 near the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Pine Creek Township. According to the report, a 50-year-old Brockway man was stopped for a traffic violation and found to be driving under the influence. Charges are currently pending through the district court.
- State police reported a DUI/drug incident that occurred Saturday on Route 322 at Brookville Wood Products in Pine Creek Township. According to the report, a known juvenile male was stopped for a traffic violation and found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He was later found to be in possession of suspected drug paraphernalia, state police said. Charges are currently pending with Jefferson County Juvenile Probation.
- State police reported an incident of theft that occurred Friday or Saturday at a hunting cabin on East Branch Road in Oliver Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole a S&W 380, Black Hawk 44 Magnum, Taurus 38 Special and Taurus 40 S&W, totaling $1,955 in value, from the victim. Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to a possible structure fire on Nichols Street. Upon arrival to the scene, police and borough firefighters found a malfunctioning furnace.
- Several individuals were found to allegedly be consuming alcohol and under the age of 21 years after police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.
- Police responded to a possible waterline break on Reed Street. Upon arrival to the scene, police requested response from Clearfield Municipal Authority personnel who handled the incident.
- Police responded to a report about a resident who was burning in their backyard on Clearfield Street. Upon arrival to the scene, police were unable to locate anyone burning.
- Police responded to a report about an open door on West Second Avenue.
- Police handled several noise complaints over the weekend.
- Police arrested a female along North Fourth Street after she was found to have an active warrant.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment by communications. Police made contact with those involved, and they were warned about their actions.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of someone at a local motel along on the Clearfield-Woodland Highway.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle in the area of the Clearfield-Glen Richey Highway.
- Police assisted a resident with questions regarding carrying firearms.
- Police received a report about an incident of trespass on Mill Road. According to the report, police located multiple actors at the scene.
- Police were assisted by four, young males with capturing a runaway dog. According to the report, the boys had found it in the Hyde area and brought it to the police station. Police would like to thank the boys for their assistance.
- Police responded to a landlord-tenant issue in the Kerr Addition area.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred at the Skate Station.
- Police received a report about all-terrain vehicles on Pifer Road. Police were able to identify those involved and handle the incident at the scene.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred in the area of Valley View Drive.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct that occurred on South Second Street. Charges are currently pending against those involved, police said.
- Police conducted a traffic stop along Route 879. Underage drinking charges are currently pending as a result, police said.
- Police responded to a report of a physical domestic dispute along the Krebs Highway. It was handled at the scene.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment in the area of Ross Drive.
- Police assisted a motorist at the intersection of Route 879 and Route 1001.
DuBois City
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a female at St. Michaels Terrace on West Long Avenue. Police made contact with her and found she was OK.
- Police reported an incident of burglary that occurred in the 300 block of South Avenue. Upon arrival, police found the resident’s grandson was trying to get inside the garage without permission. The resident told police they didn’t want him arrested but didn’t want him back on their property. Police warned the male if he returned he would be arrested.
- Police met with a male at the station after his vehicle was keyed in the parking lot of a business in the 200 block of West Long Avenue. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police reported a domestic disturbance that occurred in the 800 block of East DuBois Avenue. After police spoke with everyone involved, it was determined there wouldn’t be any charges filed as a result.
- Police responded to a report about a male who was sitting in his vehicle and playing loud music in the first block of West Long Avenue. When police made contact with the male, he agreed to turn his music down.
- While on routine patrol, police observed a driver of a Jeep Cherokee commit a traffic violation. When the Rockton male observed police, he allegedly fled in an attempt to elude police. Police located the Jeep just off North Franklin Street and the male fled on foot. Police were able to identify the male, and charges will be filed as a result.
- Police received a report about a possible domestic dispute in the 300 block of West Long Avenue. When police arrived to the area, they were unable to locate a domestic incident.
- Police received a report about a residence being egged in the 100 block of South Stockdale Street. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about a female who was allegedly assaulted by two males in the area of Martin’s Grocery on Hoover Avenue. When police spoke with her, it was learned it may have happened on the walkway near the bridge. Police spoke with the female in depth after which it was determined there wouldn’t be any charges filed.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a child who may have been assaulted in the 500 block of Knarr Street. When police arrived to the scene, it was determined an assault hadn’t occurred.
- Police received a report for a domestic dispute in the first block of East Weber Avenue. After police spoke with those involved, it was determined there wouldn’t be any charges filed. However, police found a male had warrants through Elk County, and he was advised to report to the judge there on Monday.
- Police received a report about a male who had lost his cell phone or had it stolen in the City Park. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about someone setting a tree stump on fire in the 100 block of West Spruce Alley. A resident put the fire out and told police everything was OK.
- Police received a report about a missing female juvenile from the YMCA. According to the report, someone indicated she could be at the movie theater. When police responded there, they found the female, and she was then turned over to her mother.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male in the alley behind a residence in the 100 block of West Second Avenue. When police arrived at the scene, they were unable to locate the male.
- Police received a report about a female who was calling the dispatch center and not making any sense. Police responded to the area of the 200 block of South Stockdale Street but were unable to locate the female.
- Police received a report about a male who was acting suspiciously on DuBois Street. Upon arrival, police made contact with the 26-year-old DuBois man who had an active warrant for his arrest through state parole. He was taken into custody and released to state parole officials.
- Police met with two people at the station regarding an incident of harassment that occurred in the 100 block of Robinson Street. Police determined there wouldn’t be any charges filed as a result.
- Police received a report about an alarm at a business on Beaver Drive. Upon arrival, police determined it was a false alarm.
- Police received a report about a domestic dispute involving a father and daughter in the 200 block of South Stockdale Street. Upon arrival, police found the female had left, and it was to be verbal in nature.
- Police assisted emergency personnel with a fall victim in the first block of Rumbarger Avenue.
