Leo “Casey” Siemucha, 84, Punxsutawney and formerly of DuBois, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Mulberry Square Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Punxsutawney.
Born Oct. 16, 1932 in Kramer, Pa., he was the son of the late John and Teckla (Zeych) Siemucha.
He retired in 1963 as a factory worker at the International Filler Company in North Tonawanda, NY.
He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed watching sports and game shows on television. He really liked the football and baseball games of Pennsylvania teams.
He had a great sense of humor and you could always look forward to a few good laughs whenever you were with him.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews, and he was cared for locally by his nephew, David Walko and his wife, Sandra.
He will fondly be remembered by his great-niece, Briel Pecourt and great-nephews, Crittenden Hughes, Elijah Goodbread and Manoli and Basil Despines.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Walko Ivoska, Stella Novasat and Victoria Kroften and six brothers, John, Anthony, Alex, Samuel, Peter and Michael Siemucha.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday at the Baronick Funeral Home and Crematorium Inc.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Msgr. Richard Siefer officiating.
Burial will be in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery in Sykesville.
