State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Saturday on Old Stone Road in Karthaus Township. During the incident, someone allegedly attempted to break into the victim’s garage by breaking the lock mechanism on the door. The suspect then fled the scene.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police reported a DUI/drug incident that occurred March 27 in the area of Route 36 and Clearfield Street in Punxsutawney Borough. A 19-year-old DuBois man was allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia while being under the influence of a controlled substance and in control of a vehicle.
- On Friday, Dale L. Zimmerman Jr., 56, of Brookville was stopped by state police for a traffic violation on Five Mile Road in Knox Township. He was allegedly under the influence and in possession of a controlled substance. State police said he had two female juveniles with him at the time of the traffic stop. Zimmerman is facing charges of DUI, possession of a controlled substance and related paraphernalia, recklessly endangering another person and endangering the welfare of children, which are pending, along with several traffic violations.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft from a motor vehicle that occurred sometime March 29-30 on Fuller Road in Pine Creek Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole a Pennsylvania registration plate from the victim’s vehicle.
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of indecent assault involving two inmates March 30 at the Jefferson County Jail in Pine Creek Township. It remains under investigation at this time.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of burglary that occurred Friday on Grant Road in Ridgway Township. During the incident, a known suspect allegedly entered the victim’s business through a window and removed $594 and a pack of beef sticks. State police said the suspect was caught on camera and charges are pending through the district court.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about an alleged fight between two males at a South Fourth Street residence. Upon arrival, police found that one male had left the scene. Charges were filed against one male for assault.
- Police responded to a business for a fire alarm on North Second Street. Police were advised that the fire department responded and determined it was a false alarm.
- Police are investigating a reported incident involving the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
- Police were called regarding alleged threats that were being made toward a female via messaging and Facebook. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of an East Pine Street resident after he made comments about being harmed by others. Police found the male to be OK, and that he did not appear to be in any danger.
- Police responded to a hit-and-run accident on Nichols Street. According to police, a vehicle veered to the right, striking a parked car and causing damage. Police later located the actor’s vehicle and charges were filed as a result.
- Police arrested a female for DUI after she was found to allegedly be under the influence of drugs. Her arrest stemmed from a reckless driving complaint along Bigler Avenue.
- Police received a report about a male and female who were engaged in a verbal argument on Gulich Avenue. The female left and may have made threats of self-harm, police said. Police spoke to the female and resolved the situation.
- Police responded to the East Market Street Bridge after a report about juveniles climbing on it above the river. Upon arrival, police found that the juveniles had left.
- Police assisted a motorist who had locked their keys inside their vehicle along East Cherry Street.
- Police arrested a male for DUI after he was stopped for a traffic violation along East Cherry Street.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of unsworn falsification at the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespassing on Grice Road. Police will cite the actors.
- Police received a report about a reckless driver in the area of Moose Street.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with an alarm in the area of North Second Street.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male in the area of South Second Street. He will be cited for public drunkenness.
- Police received a noise complaint that occurred in the area of Village Road.
- Police received a report about a civil issue in the area of Nelson Road.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Washington Avenue. No injuries were reported as a result, and the vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- Police assisted emergency personnel at a Valley View Drive residence.
- Police received a report about a missing person who was quickly located and not in danger.
- Police conducted a warrant service at the Edgewood Apartments.
- Police conducted a warrant service in the area of Powell Avenue.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief in the area of the Rockton Mountain Highway. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about suspicious activity in the area of Flegal Road.
- Police received a report about a wanted person at the Edgewood Apartments. However, police searched three residences and the surrounding area and were unable to locate the male.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a person in the area of Lawrence Avenue.
- Police received a report about a noise complaint at the Lawrence Township Rec Park. Police made contact with the persons who will be cited and charged with disorderly conduct, trespassing and Title 35 violations.
- Police received a report about a possible domestic dispute at Wal-Mart. Those involved left in a vehicle and were gone prior to police arrival at the scene.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about a vehicle that didn’t belong in a driveway on Knarr Street. When police arrived at the scene, a neighbor yelled to ask if he needed to move it. Police told him he did need to move the vehicle.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft that occurred in the 100 block of West Scribner Avenue. Upon arrival a male told police that the door to his room was kicked in and an Xbox One, Xbox Connect and two controllers were taken from inside. When police checked his room, it was found the door jamb was broken. Police later spoke to the male who stated a known person would either return the Xbox or pay the amount of its worth.
- Police received a report about a group of kids throwing trash around a house in the 200 block of West Weber Avenue. Police spoke with the kids and told them to throw the trash away and not on the ground.
- Police were dispatched for an alarm at the Timberland Federal Credit Union on Beaver Drive. When police arrived, everything was found to be OK and it was determined to be a false alarm.
- Police were dispatched for an alarm at the Medicine Shoppe on West Park Avenue. Upon arrival, police observed two employees inside the business, and one confirmed it was a false alarm.
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Parkway Drive and DuBois Street. Police assisted and those involved exchanged information; both vehicles were driven from the scene.
