State police at Clearfield
- State police reported an incident of DUI that occurred Friday on Interstate 80 at mile-marker 132.5. After a traffic stop, a 39-year-old Lecontes Mills man was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol. Charges will be filed through the district court.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police reported an incident of DUI that occurred Wednesday on Hemlock Street in Rush Township. A 36-year-old Philipsburg man was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently placed under arrest and transported for a blood test. DUI charges are currently pending laboratory test results at this time.
State police at Ridgway
- State police have initiated an investigation into the death of a 24-year-old woman, Kaitlyn M. Buerk, who was residing in Wilcox. When state police arrived at the scene, it was determined she’d died either the night before or in the early hours of Thursday. No further information was provided in the state police report.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about suspicious activity in the area of High Level Road. Upon arrival police searched the area but were unable to locate anyone.
- Police received a report of a domestic dispute on Turnpike Avenue.
- Police received a report about a domestic dispute on South Second Street.
- Police received a report about three, different alleged retail theft incidents at Wal-Mart. There are multiple known suspects in each case, according to police.
- Police served a warrant on a Grampian female during a traffic stop on Route 879.
DuBois City
- Police were dispatched for a U-Haul truck that was stuck on the side of the roadway on South Main Street. Upon arrival police learned the truck’s rear hitch/bumper was caught on the roadway. This lifted its tires off the roadway enough to keep the driver from being able to travel. Police said a tow truck was called to assist at the scene.
- Police were dispatched for a report about a verbal domestic dispute at a residence on West Washington Avenue. Upon their arrival, a female told police there had been an argument, and a male took her cell phone and broke it. Police said he left for the night to let things cool down.
Sandy Township
- On Wednesday, a 19-year-old Falls Creek woman was arrested after she allegedly assaulted her estranged boyfriend while he was sitting in his vehicle at the Falls Creek Sheetz. According to the police report, she pulled open the door to his vehicle and started hitting him in the face and head. When an employee from Sheetz approached the scene, she fled with her 3-year-old daughter. Police said that the man sustained injuries but refused treatment, and the woman later turned herself in and was taken to county jail.
- On Wednesday, a Judge Road resident reported there were four people with crow bars attempting to gain access to a neighboring trailer. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the owner of the trailer. He explained that the former tenants had damaged the trailer, including the doors, which had to be opened with the crow bars. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Wednesday, a 49-year-old Dubois woman was arrested after she was caught by Bon Ton employees allegedly attempting to take items without paying for them.
- On Thursday, a resident reported a newer model Mercedes was being driven recklessly on Spafford Road. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
