State police at DuBois
- State police reported an incident of DUI that occurred Saturday on Route 255 just north of Interstate 80 in Sandy Township. While on routine patrol, state police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by an 18-year-old DuBois man for a traffic violation. He was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol and taken into custody. Charges will be filed pending final blood test results.
- State police received a report about an incident of simple assault that occurred Sunday on Main Street in Brockway Borough. During the incident, a known DuBois male allegedly threatened the victim. Charges are currently pending through the district court.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred sometime between March 20 and Saturday on East Main Street in Big Run Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged a Ford F-150 by denting in the front, passenger’s side door, breaking the passenger’s side window and front windshield. State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Saturday on the Bennetts Valley Highway in Jay Township. During the incident, a Weedville teen allegedly shot multiple billboard signs with a paintball gun. It caused approximately $530 worth of damage. Charges will be filed through the district court.
Lawrence Township
- Police responded to an alarm at Auto Zone.
- Police were requested to check a person’s welfare in the area of Cambria Drive.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of child endangerment in the area of Park Avenue.
- Police received a noise complaint that occurred in the area of Garman Lane.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief in the area of Race Street.
- Police responded to a disorder on First Avenue, and it was handled at the scene.
- Police assisted a juvenile along Turnpike Avenue.
- Police received a report about a lost/stolen cellular device.
- Police received a report about a four-wheeler that was found in the woods. Anyone with information is asked to contact the township police.
- Clearfield-based state police were assisted with a domestic incident in the area of Trails End Road in Curwensville.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment via communications in the area of Smith Street.
- Police were requested to check a person’s welfare after a 911 hang-up call from the Riverside Motel. It was found to be an accidental call.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with locating a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was located at the Skate Station, the report stated.
- Police assisted a motorist at McDonald’s on South Second Street.
- Police conducted a warrant service on a person after they were located at the recreation park after hours.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a person in the area of Valley View Drive.
- Police received a report about a property dispute along Turnpike Avenue.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person along Martin Street Extension.
- Police responded to a possible motor vehicle accident along the Clearfield-Curwensville Highway. It was found to be a disabled vehicle.
- Police received a report about an alleged physical domestic dispute at Edgewood.
- Police conducted a warrant service at the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
- Police were requested to check a person’s welfare in the area of Lock Haven University Clearfield campus.
- Police conducted a traffic stop/warrant service at the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
- Police responded to an alarm at Save-A-Lot. It was found to be accidental.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about loud music being played at an apartment on West Washington Avenue. Upon arrival police observed two males standing at a window. When they noticed police, they immediately turned down the music.
- Police were requested to assist a woman with an activated smoke alarm at her house. The alarm was activated due to low batteries, the report stated. However, police were cancelled while en route to the scene because the woman had taken care of it.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person who was passed out in a vehicle in the Sheetz parking lot on East DuBois Avenue. However, the vehicle was gone upon police arrival to the scene.
- Police received a complaint from a resident who stated a garbage removal company was too loud during its collection.
- Police were dispatched for an alleged assault at a residence in the 300 block of East Weber Avenue. While en route to the scene, police were notified a male offender had fled in a blue van, and it was observed traveling on South Brady Street. Police subsequently pulled over the van on East Dubois Avenue, and the male was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation. Charges were filed against him for simple assault and harassment.
- Police were dispatched for a report about two people engaged in an altercation by the flagpole at the DuBois Area Middle School. While en route, police were notified by County Control that the school police officer stated the male who had caused the disturbance left the property and officers weren’t needed any longer.
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident on East DuBois Avenue. According to police, a silver-colored Hyundai struck an orange Jeep Liberty. No injuries were reported in the accident, and one vehicle was towed from the scene.
- Police received a report about a male who had attempted to purchase a firearm at a retailer. He had completed the ATF form but allegedly provided false information. Upon investigation it was found that due to the male’s previous criminal history that he was prohibited from purchasing or possessing a firearm. Police are continuing their investigation and charges are currently pending.
- Police received a report about juveniles who were on the roof of a business on West Washington Avenue. Upon arrival police made contact with the trio of juveniles, contacted their parents and released them.
