DUBOIS – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will be sweeping state Routes in the DuBois area next week, starting Sunday night into Monday.
The work will be performed by Clearfield County PennDOT Maintenance and will take place during overnight hours of midnight to 8 a.m. This work is expected to last through Friday morning.
As spring begins, the sweeping activity will remove excess material and debris from state-owned roadways in the greater DuBois area.
Crews will begin in the Falls Creek area on Routes 830 and 219. Work will then move east to cover sections of Route 255 (Bee-line highway) and Route 119 (Liberty Boulevard/Brady Street).
Work will also include sweeping of the Interstate 80 ramps and cleaning/flushing of the Sandy bridge, with work ending at the Dixon Avenue intersection.
All sweeping activity will be done as a moving operation and motorists are reminded to be alert for crews along these roadways. Drivers should anticipate short travel delays.
Flushing and cleaning on the Sandy bridge will be a stationary operation and drivers will need to use caution as they use the opposing traffic lane to move around the maintenance crew.
PennDOT reminds drivers to use caution in and around all work zones, obey posted speed limits and always buckle up.
