Frank Harold Bowery, 69, of Clearfield died Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.
Born March 29, 1947, he was the son of Fred H. Jr. and Mary Grace (Ross) Bowery.
Mr. Bowery was a farmer and truck driver who had worked for Clearfield Cheese Co., Bayer Clothing Group, The Progress and George Simcox Trucking.
He also did winter maintenance for PennDOT. He was a 1966 graduate of Curwensville Area High School.
On April 8, 1972 in Clearfield, he wed the former Deborah A. Cowder, who survives, along with five children, Brian Bowery and his wife, Dottie, Michele Carns and her husband, Joe and Christy Thomas and her husband, Robert, all of Clearfield; Susan Bowery and her fiancé, Matt Ibberson of Woodland; and Amy Bowery and her fiancé, Eric Pentz of Brockway.
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Joshua Bowery, Allison Carns, Devin Carns, Christopher Bowery, Aaron Bowery, Katherine Thomas, Brenna Bowery, Rachel Pentz, Abbigail Pentz, Alexander Ibberson and Cassandra Pentz; a sister, Linda Ressler and her husband, Robert of Clearfield; and a niece and nephew, Kimberly Betts and Steven Ressler.
He was preceded ibn death by his parents; his oldest sister, Barbara Bowery; and an infant grandson, Tyler David Carns.
Funeral services for Mr. Bowery will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville with the Rev. George W. Solley officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Bethel Cemetery, Glen Richey.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
