State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Wednesday on Cross Roads Boulevard in Beccaria Township. According to state police, two females alleged being subjected to unwanted physical contact. State police will continue the investigation.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a call from a resident who had questions regarding tenant issues. They were informed the issue was civil.
- Police responded to an activated fire alarm at a business along North Second Street. It was found to be a false alarm.
- Police responded to a minor accident along East Cherry and South Front streets. No injuries were reported as a result, and both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene, police said.
- Police assisted Children & Youth Services personnel at a residence along Martin Street.
- Police were dispatched for an alleged incident of harassment on Leavy Avenue.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about possible fraud that occurred at the Hampton Inn.
- Police received a report about a possible hit-and-run accident at Wal-Mart.
- Police received a report about another possible fraud incident.
- Police received a report about an alleged assault involving a juvenile. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about an alarm at the new PennDOT building.
- Police received a report about sexually explicit images allegedly transmitted to a minor.
- Police received a report about a traffic hazard at the Hyde light.
- Police received a report about a possible code violation on Robinson Avenue in Hyde.
- Police received a report about a possible phone scam.
- Police reported a non-reportable accident that occurred at Sapp Bros. Truck Stop.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a township resident.
- Police received a report about an alarm at a business.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle along Martin Street Extension.
Sandy Township
- On Monday a 21-year-old DuBois woman alleged that when she and her brother went to her residence to retrieve some items, her estranged boyfriend threatened to shoot them. Officers went to the residence and after a struggle they were able to detain the man who did have a loaded gun. He was charged with simple assault and terroristic threats and taken before the magistrate for arraignment. Police said the man was held on $25,000 bail.
- On Monday the manager at the Blinker Sheetz reported a suspicious male in the store, claiming to have lost his wallet in the building. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Tuesday a 75-year-old Wasson Avenue woman reported that she thought someone stole a necklace and half a box of candy that her boyfriend had given her for Valentine’s Day. However, officers were unable to find any evidence of a break-in.
DuBois City
- Police were dispatched to a report about a 911 hang-up call. Upon arrival police spoke with a resident who indicated she had been arguing with her boyfriend, but everything was OK now.
- Police were dispatched for a report about a hit-and-run accident on East DuBois Avenue. According to police, the victim spoke to the driver of the vehicle, which hit his vehicle. The driver agreed to pull into the Sheetz parking lot to exchange information; the suspect vehicle fled the scene. Police are continuing their investigation.
- Police received a report from a resident about two kids who tried to gain entry into his South Avenue home. The door was allegedly damaged, and they weren’t able to get inside. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police were dispatched for a report about two disorderly male juveniles in the parking lot of Giant Eagle. Upon arrival police spoke with those involved, and everything was OK.
- Police received a report about a damaged street light in the area of the DuBois Library. It was a light located along the sidewalk of the southbound lane of South Brady Street. The globe at the top of the light post was smashed with glass on the sidewalk. Police said it didn’t appear as though the post was struck by a vehicle.
