State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of disorderly conduct Monday on Good Street in Houtzdale Borough. During the incident, a known male was allegedly acting in a disruptive manner, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of burglary that occurred between Nov. 7 and Feb. 8 on Rowland Avenue in Chester Hill Borough. During the incident, a known woman allegedly took three firearms and a set of drums. State police said the firearms were a light brown, sawed-off 20-guage shotgun, a dark brown 22 long rifle and a dark brown double-barrel 16-guage shotgun. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an attempted burglary Feb. 8 on Hemlock Street in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly attempted to gain entry through a door at the rear of the victim’s mobile home. They used force to open the door but didn’t enter; the door was damaged in the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
- State police reported an incident of DUI that occurred Jan. 29 in the area of Route 53 and Johnson Road in Chester Hill Borough. State police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by a 32-year-old man who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. He was charged through the district court.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of burglary that occurred sometime Friday or Saturday at a residence along Route 219 in Horton Township. During the incident, a known Ridgway man allegedly gained entry into the victim’s residence and while inside the breezeway area, he broke a window by throwing at object through it. He left the scene undetected but did leave several pieces of evidence behind, state police said. Charges are currently pending through the district court.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alarm in the area of Turnpike Avenue. However, police were cancelled while it was accidental.
- Police received a report about the alleged unauthorized use of a vehicle in the area of Guinea Hill.
- Police received a report about a civil issue in the area of West Front Street.
- Police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief in the area of 21st
- Police received a report about an alleged theft and harassment involving juveniles.
- Police responded to a two-vehicle, non-reportable accident on Route 879 near Wolf Run.
- Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 153 and Flegal Road. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, and the drivers were taken to the hospital for an evaluation, police said.
- Police received a report about a suspicious phone call at a local business. Extra patrols were requested as a result.
- Police received a report about suspicious people at a business on Route 879. It was requested that police ask the couple to leave, which they did.
Sandy Township
- On Friday a 39-year-old DuBois man lost control of his vehicle while driving on Sykes Street Extension. This caused it to slide off the roadway and come to rest in a ditch. No injuries were reported as a result, and the vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
- On Friday a 77-year-old Treasure Lake man reported a robbery might have occurred at a woman’s home he had power of attorney of. He told police when he went to retrieve items that the woman had requested, they were gone. There wasn’t any sign of forced entry, but it did appear a sliding glass door had been opened at some point. There was allegedly $5,000 worth of jewelry and some cash missing from the home.
- On Friday a 59-year-old Treasure Lake man reported he heard that his son’s friends were going to come and take his truck. They were going to take it on behalf of his son against whom he has a Protection from Abuse order.
- On Saturday police received a report about dogs barking for over an hour. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Saturday police received a report about a false alarm at the Hampton Inn.
- On Saturday police received a report about a false alarm at FedEx.
DuBois City
- On Monday police were dispatched for a report of an alarm at Advanced Auto Parts. However, police were handling another call and Santy Township officers responded to the scene. Upon arrival township officers found the front door open, and it was believed to be due to strong winds. Everything else appeared to be OK.
- On Monday police were dispatched to a possible break-in at a Spring Avenue residence. Upon arrival police observed fresh footprints around the house and a window was open. Everything else appeared to be OK and police cleared the scene.
- On Monday police were dispatched to contact a female regarding stolen property. She alleged someone had stolen a PlayStation 4 slim gaming console from her residence. Police are continuing their investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact 814-765-1533.
