PHILIPSBURG – State police are continuing their investigation after a report about a large sum of money being taken from a Pine Street residence in Philipsburg Borough between Nov. 6 and Nov. 16.
According to the report, the male victim was out of town when he received a phone call from his wife. She allegedly stated she was taking approximately $90,000 from a safe they keep money in.
On Jan. 27 the victim told state police that approximately $90,000 out of the full $180,000 was gone when he returned from vacation on Nov. 15.
