State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of identity theft that occurred Friday on South Front Street in Philipsburg Borough. According to the report, a caller contacted the victim and claimed to be their grandson. The caller also claimed he was in police custody and needed Target gift cards and released fund numbers via telephone. The victim got $10,000 in Target gift cards and provided the release fund numbers. All of the money was allegedly spent on the gift cards, and the victim wasn’t reimbursed for the money. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Clearfield Borough
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male residing along East Market Street. Upon arrival he was found to be OK. Police also made contact with a male who held warrants through the Ridgway Borough police. He resolved those warrants at the Clearfield police station.
- Police responded to a report about a truck taking down lines on Weaver Street. According to the report, it was determined that they were cable lines. Police were able to remove them and notify the cable company.
- Police responded to a report about an alarm on East Pine Street. Upon arrival police found employees who advised everything was OK.
- Police handled a parking complaint along North Third Street.
- Police responded to an activated CO alarm on East Locust Street. The Clearfield Fire Department was notified to respond to the scene.
- Police assisted a resident who had locked their keys inside their vehicle along West Fifth Street.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report for public assistance at Wal-Mart.
- Police conducted a warrant service on a wanted person at the station. As a result, they were housed at the county jail.
- Police served a warrant on a DuBois male.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a report about a suspicious person/activity on Park Avenue Extension.
- Police received a report about an attempted burglary on Susquehanna Avenue. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police handled a neighbor dispute at the scene.
- Police recovered a stolen bicycle. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Sykesville Borough police were assisted with information on a wanted person.
- Police handled a parking complaint on Thompson Street.
DuBois City
- On Monday police were dispatched for a report of criminal mischief in the 200 block of South Brady Street. During the incident, someone allegedly smashed out multiple windows and damaged the rear door of a building. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Monday police were dispatched to Olive Avenue for a report about a vehicle being driven on the wrong side of the road. Upon arrival police searched the area but didn’t locate the vehicle.
