DUBOIS – The Sandy Township Supervisors voted last night to subdivide Dr. Doolittle’s 5.2-acres from a larger parcel of city-owned land.
DuBois City is selling this land instead of leasing, as it has in the past. With the subdivision, the supervisors proceeded to make sure the new section will meet sewage requirements.
The supervisors also officially accepted two, five-foot sections of land deeded to the township by Wal-Mart after the construction of the new supercenter. It was noted that the official acceptance had been overlooked.
Finally, the supervisors reported that there was $21,442,853 worth of construction in Sandy Township in 2016. This is split between commercial and residential construction; it included 16 new homes.
