Stella Rose O’Dell, 88, of Clearfield died Monday, Jan. 16, 2017 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
She was born Oct. 4, 1928 in Irvona, a daughter of the late George and Mary (Sheposh) Walushka.
Mrs. O’Dell was employed at Kurtz Bros. and retired after 17 years of service. She was also involved with the Mercy Mission and the Marion House.
She was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.
She is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline Plubell and her husband, Bob of Clearfield; two grandchildren, Robert A. Plubell and his wife, Ashley and Nicole Plubell; two great-grandsons, Jason and Archer Plubell; two sisters, Helen Karrer of Clearfield and Dorothy O’Conner of Athens; and three brothers, Peter Walushka of Wellsboro and John Walushka and James Walushka, both of Clearfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas ‘Jack’ O’Dell, on April 19, 2013. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Beach.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday at the Glad Tiding Assembly of God, Clearfield, with the Rev. Stephen DeSantis officiating. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Monday at the church.
