State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Tuesday at the Pine Inn parking lot in Falls Creek Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly slashed the front, passenger’s side tire on the victim’s vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alarm at a local business on Old Town Road.
- Police received a report about an unconscious person at a local establishment on Route 879.
- Police received a report about a disabled vehicle on Route 322 near the Clearfield Mall.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft involving a juvenile.
Sandy Township
- On Monday a vehicle driven by a 38-year-old DuBois man spun out of control due to icy conditions on South Main Street and came to rest overturned in a ditch. No injuries were reported as a result, and the vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
- On Monday a 40-year-old DuBois man reported that he believed his ex-girlfriend, a 23-year-old DuBois woman, took a check from his checkbook and issued it in her name for $70. It remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- On Tuesday a Treasure Lake resident reported receiving a check in the amount of $3,875, along with a letter explaining how to use the check to be a secret shopper. She recognized the mailing as a scam and immediately turned it over to police.
Decatur Township
- Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 322 and the Troy-Hawk Run Highway. No injuries were reported as a result, police said.
- Police were contacted about a vehicle that was possibly towed or stolen from the Gearhartsville Sportsman’s Club. The owner later contacted police and related a family member had it towed.
- Police received a possible trespassing complaint while trees were being cut down on another person’s property on Sanborn Road.
- Police responded to a two-vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of the Troy-Hawk Run Highway and Route 322. No injuries were reported as a result, police said.
- Police arrested a female after she was allegedly located with drugs and paraphernalia. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police found a deer struck in the roadway and a motorist assisted with removing it.
- Police responded after a report about shots fired at the Frenchtown Trailer Park. According to the report, a male accidentally fired a shotgun after a female entered his residence without his consent. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police responded to the Minit Mart, located on Walton Street, in reference to a suspicious vehicle. According to the report, it was being “parked in the lot for several weeks and then leaving.” Police located the vehicle and its operator and determined there wasn’t anything criminal in nature.
