Norma Jean Ogden, 89, of Clearfield died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
She was born Oct. 17, 1927 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Condon) Poole.
Mrs. Ogden retired from The Progress newspaper after 20 years of employment. Previously, she was employed by McGregor’s Sportswear.
She is survived by her son, William R. Ogden Jr. of Clearfield; a granddaughter, Susan; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Welch of Beech Creek.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Ogden, on Nov. 22, 2005 and to whom she was wed Nov. 27, 1946 at St. John Lutheran Church, Clearfield. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Irwin and a brother, Robert Poole.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
